Nembørn is a childcare management platform built on GDPR-compliant infrastructure, audited by PwC. All children's data, photos, messages and observations are end-to-end encrypted in transit and at rest, stored on certified European servers, and protected by two-factor authentication and facial recognition for staff access.

In detail
All customer data is hosted on certified servers. Nembørn’s infrastructure complies with ISO 27001 standards and undergoes annual third-party security audits.
Nembørn undergoes annual security and compliance audits conducted by PwC. These audits cover data handling practices, encryption standards, access control policies, and GDPR compliance across all product features. Audit reports are available to enterprise customers on request.
Staff access to Nembørn requires two-factor authentication (2FA) and optional facial recognition. Role-based permissions ensure that each staff member only sees the children and data relevant to their room or group. All login events are logged and auditable by nursery administrators.
Nembørn uses AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit for all data. Messages between staff and parents are end-to-end encrypted. The API uses OAuth 2.0 authentication, rate limiting, and per-organization data isolation. All API traffic is encrypted via TLS 1.3.
Nembørn provides full GDPR Article 15, 16 and 17 rights — parents can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data at any time. Consent workflows are built into the onboarding process for both parents and staff. Nursery administrators can manage all consent records from a single dashboard.
